Weekly Accomplishments

So I'm trying this blogging thing again.  Hopefully this will be good for me and our family and maybe we'll learn something along the way? If not-- at least we'll have a journal of all the fun things we've done? Sure. We'll go with it!

I'm going to try to keep up with a weekly accomplishment blog.  It might be something little that we've done, it might be something big who knows.  But it will allow me to look back and see exactly what we've accomplished each week despite the stress level.

  • Successful implementation of the first HUGE project at work.  This week was probably the most important week of my career so far.  I've gotten tons of compliments on the changes I've implemented including "This was the best go-live I've ever had"-- which was by far the best comment I could have gotten.
  • We made it to Puppy Kindergarten despite the car issues I've been having the past few days.  Both Brad and I feel its extremely important to keep Jack on a solid training program each week.  In addition to our self proclaimed Mini training sessions we take Jack to 1 puppy class a week to help him learn the basics and socialize him with other humans and puppies.
  • I haven't burned anything this week.  You might think I am joking but this is a huge accomplishment considering my history last week.  I was so stressed about my go-live for Monday morning, I burned 3 pounds of pork shoulder Friday and ruined dinner another night a few days prior.  It was a rough week last week on the cooking front and I'm extremely proud to say I didn't burn anything this week--- not saying I cooked a whole lot this week, but hey! An accomplishment's an accomplishment right!?
  • I've started a blog! HEY! Look at that! Its the one you're reading.  Yeah, I'm pretty awful at blogging-- sticking to it but I really want to do it this time for me.
  • Jack's sort of mastered the come command... If it involves food-- he's SO there.  Still needs work but it's progress from last week.
I am honestly really proud of Our family for really stepping up and pulling together to get stuff done this week.  It's been an odd week with off shift scheduling and working 50 hours in one week but it was worth it and we worked it out!
